    How Many X51 Waiters?

    Mine's been on order since Oct 15. Suppose to have been Jan build.
    Dealer tells me that the word from PCNA is that the carbon air box is the holdup and that should be resolved shortly. He also said there were six other cars waiting to be built.

    Any of you guys in the same boat?

    Hopefully this will be sorted out very soon- luckily my "baby" isn't due until Sept. I told my salesman I'm willing to wait even longer. From what I've read and been told I seriously doubt that'll be necessary. Most seem to think this will be resolved within a few months. The TT debut will probably help some.

    I ordered Nov for Dec build. I am still waiting. I have a production number but no build date. I was told to expect my car no earlier than April...Maybe the turbo buzz will kill some of the demand for the X51 and the wait will be less.

    Sorry- sounds like bad timing. Hope your baby arrives soon. I'm sure you'll forget about the long wait shortly after delivery.

    I ordered in November for a March build, with April factory delivery. All I have is a production code, but my dealer claims there should be no delays. Should know where things stand in the next two weeks.

    I also ordered in November my production slot was originally a Jan build but it got pushed out to March because of X51 avail. Still waiting for an actual production date.

    A buddy of mine is in the exacty same boat. November '05 order for January '06 build, but Porsche bumped it from January to March '06 build. New X51 orders are still not being accepted, and there is no new official word from PCNA or PAG on availability.

    Talked to my dealer tonight. I am now PLPROD with a build date of 24 Feb....let's see what happens

    when did you order? My dealer told me that there were only 6 x51s waiting to be built. Maybe all 6 will be finished soon.

    6?? No way. I know two guys here locally who are waiting for X51 cars (a C2S and a C4S), one ordered in November and one in December, and I'm guessing I don't know 33% of all X51 waiters.

    Well that's what my sales guy said. Sounds like he's wrong. If it's only 6 then you are aware of 50% of current X51 waiters.
