The X51 has 306 lb-ft of torque. Does it really have more? Maybe because the block is bigger? Am I missing something?
Thanks,

The RS will be? I thought for the 996 gt3 that was not for america, I was wondering about the CS package "no cost" according to the brochure... its the roll bar, alantra interior stuff, race seats, and a fire extinguisher... am I mixing stuff up?

I wouldnt think the roll bar would be an issue, its not a cage that will have tubing up in the front right, just tubing in the back area where the back seats would be. So you shouldnt be able to contact the tubing... right?

Where is the extra 35HP coming from when most tuners could only get 400HP from the 380HP motor?

So the most important question to me for now is wether it makes sense to wait for the RS - or go happily with the initial GT3 model.

This is what we got right now about the GT3RS:
1. same power as GT3 (other rumors indicate a few very little horses more but it isn't very likely)
2. widebody instead of the narrow body
3. different rear wing, similar to the 996 GT3RS
4. around 50-70 kg less weight than the GT3
5. top speed 310 kph (same as GT3), straight line acceleration slightly better than 997 Turbo with manual
6. price tag higher than 997 Turbo
7. PASM suspension (this is actually a surprise, another not that reliable rumor indicated a "classic" chassis but PASM seems to be more credible)
8. TC/LSD
and No. 9...TRARAAAAA: PDK. The first Porsche to actually get it. PCCB seems to be standard on the GT3 RS too.
Again: the above are RUMORS, nothing based on facts or official documents we have seen. So take the above info with a grain of salt.
BTW: do you really want to get a GT3?
