    Porsche Factory Build Info

    Sorry in advance for my lack of build process knowledge its my first new car of any kind. Question is inregards to how the production process is at the Porsche factory per the email below. Does this mean that this is when my car is started in the build process or is this when it's expected to be completed?

    We received the information your car is scheduled for production in week 16 -
    17. April to 21. April 2006.

    Greetings to the land of bier - Bitburger is my favourite Pils by far And for those not familiar with German geography: Bitburg area offers the best topography for a Boxster and is just a hop away from Nürburgring
    I'm sure you will enjoy your new ride to the max.

    As for the order process: German dealers seem to be not that communicative compared to the US, unless you would annoy them with frequent phone calls

    You'll receive a Welcome-Package containing a mini-manual and other stuff from your PZ (PZ Koblenz ?) usually arriving some 4 weeks before the car is ready for pick up (do you go for the factory pick-up ?).

    And you still may have some time to add more options - so don't hesitate to ask your fellow Rennteamers how to further ruin your bank account

    Good luck with the wait-process, maybe we can join for a spin in the beautiful Eifel with our babies (mine is due end of March)

    Could have been worse, Harry. He could have asked if you were related to Alfred Tetzlaff - "Ekel Alfred"!

    For our Anglo-Saxon members, Alfred was German TV's copy in the 70's of Alf Garnett ("Till death us do part" -UK) and Archie Bunker ("All in the family" - USA).

    Now that question i get alot if i am related to Alfred Tetzlaff. Or if i ever heard of him because he was some famous German funny man? And no...not related to him either I don't believe

    LoL I've seen all the "Ein Herz und eine Seele" shows with Ekel Alfred for at least three times...always getting some angry comments from my wife
    So I had the same idea like you when reading the post with the Tetzlaff reference, though had not the balls to post explaining what kind of guy Alfred is....
