MY VANTAGE IS DELAYED!!

Called my dealer today hoping to hear my car would be here on the 1st March, and he said the factory are about 2 weeks behing with prodution! not to worry as am skiing for a week at the start of March! will post pics as soon as i get the car..Spec is V8 Vantage, Tungsten Silver, Phantom Leather, every extra!

Consider yourself lucky. I've been told the factory is running at least four weeks behind. After a two year wait, it doesn't seem to matter much though. I get it when I get it.

Grant, have a great time skiing knowing that within a few short days, you'll be driving that gorgeous car.

I saw the sky blue AMV8 being photographed in Canary Wharf for a magazine. After that, I didn't see one at all for ages (except at motor shows). Then suddenly, 2 weeks ago, I saw a jet black one in Canary Wharf. It was drop dead gorgeous. You are one lucky guy.

Yep gotta agree with easy, your only talking a few more days maybe a week!!!!

I'll most likely have to wait about 3 years until I can get one on the second hand market!!!!!!

Oh and was out and about on Sat night in London, going back to my car in an underground car park and there was a stunning grey one just leaving.. Owner obviously saw me with my jaw on the floor and was nice enough to give it a couple of blips... OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!

Lets just say my 987s seemed to sound somewhat pants on the drive home!!!!

My distant-future Vantage "S"

I've got a deposit on the "s" version, which I hear from my dealer is 2 1/2 years away. Anyone have other information/guesses? BTW, AM of NE are a pleasure to work with. Haven't begun to think about the spec. I'm tempted by the sky blue but will probably end up with a grey/silver. Anyone have any strong feelings about color combinations?

Color choice was a major nightmare for me. I considered all sorts of things including custom colors and then ended up deciding on a very mainstream tungsten silver with black interior. I plan to keep the car for a while and think this combo should age well. The Aston Martin site now has a configurator that can give you a starting point. I also look at cars for sale at sites such as classicdriver.co.uk, drautos.com and ebaymotors.com for ideas. Frequent trips to your dealership to see different colors in the flesh is probably most helpful.

I don't think even Aston has a firm idea of when they will release the S version. I have been told it will have a lot to do with how long they can sell the standard version before demand declines.
