    sooo many choices!! as discussed here recently you can opt for clear turn lenses instead of amber on your 911.IMHO crg

    Okay, I'll bite. The BMW? It needs no excuse: in the photo are all fine cars. All with strengths and weaknesses. Besides, given mfgr alone, I'd choose the German-made (and assembled) car anyday.

    Very nice gathering!

    Besides... I agree with MMD. The M5 deserves its place on the photo. Especially since it reminds me that once upon a time, BMWs were gorgeous.

    Wow, beautiful symmetry in that photo (even with the M5)...and I can see why the Ferrari 360 Modena's have not lost any of their value-incredible, timeless design.

    Revolution Better come fast because ordinary people (certainly not we here!) are starting to like (or at least not mind) the new look. Personally the new look makes me siiiiiick. No more BMWs for me (after 25 years) until they start looking as classy and sophisticated (timeless as opposed to trendy) as they once did.

    Good call on the clear turn lens, i never noticed this on my car till this photo. The BMW was not an M5 but a previous generation 5 series.

    The drive south of the Half Moon Bay Ritz Carlton is great!

    Here is the Pigeon Point Lighthouse on Highway 1 just south of the Ritz. On a clear day this is a great drive early in the morning before the tourist traffic starts. From Santa Cruz to the Ritz Carlton with the top down, the heater blasting, PSE open and the sun at your back cannot be beat!

    nice call orient express that is the Ritz at Half Moon Bay, a home away from home for us, and you are right about the drive North from SC.

    There are very few drives as nice, whole 101 south to santa Barbra, Aussie melborne coast 12 apostles (surf coast hwy), Lake Tahoe Rim drive/ride, etc

    I was surprised at the line up

    Back in the 80's I worked in Santa Barbara, but lived up about 60 miles north in Lompoc, so I had to do the Highway 101/Highway 1 drive you speak of twice a day. Granted it got a little boring day after day, but during the summer I would see cars with license plates from all over the world enjoying my little commute drive, and it made it worthwhile.

    BTW, what famous american movie has a scene with the hero driving his Alfa through a tunnel on this stretch of road. And for bonus points, what is odd about the way he is driving?
