    How Long Before Real 997 TT Tests?

    I am wondering how long before Porsche releases the new 997 TT to the media for testing? According to this Forum the TT's won't be on dealer showrooms until August 06. Will Porsche give the car to the media a few months early for testing? The sooner they test it 0-60,Quarter,track,braking ETC. the better. There is so much guessing going on I want real Numbers.

    Unfortunately, Peter DeLoreno's diatribe was basically an unbridles self-promotion of his own internet site. We all know that the car rags are homogenized and too fluff-filled, but, alas, DeLorenzo's rant didn't convincingly argue why the rags are still popular to read-because they still titllate, even if they do not provoke.

    I heard that first cars go to car magazines for testing around April. So I'd say that we're going to see REAL test figures around May because usually car magazines are publishing some sort of "review" without test data and a few weeks later comes the real thing (good thing to cash in twice on magazine buyers... ). Since the press/dealer presentation is very likely in Spain this year around April/May, this should be the time of real test data. But I don't expect to see "trustable" test figures before May or even June.
