992 (Next 911 generation 2019/2020)
Is there a thread for the 992 already?
Seems like a 996/997 type evolution is in store for the next model:

ALDO:I don't want to scare you! About two or three years ago or so, some time before the 4 cylinder boxster came out, I reported that also the 911 will get a 4 cylinder and I mentioned the letter "e".
I don't know how to find my post to repeat it, my post is still valid.
Is that going to be the four cylinder cheap "e" version?

bluelines:throt:My exact thoughts even though I like it......991.2 could be the last ""typical"" 911 then ..
Buddy, every 911 is the "last" of something
LOL. So true. What is the typical 911 anyway? Every new 911 is just a car kinda similar to the previous one. Over the last 50 years or whatever, the cars have changed completely.

Tail lights are camouflaged as well...

There is not going to be a 4-cyl. 992, not even as a hybrid.

So what? 993?
There won't be a 991 with 4-cyl. either, so...
