end of next year.
If they succeed in putting the 992 on the market end of this year...and even then, it is a bit doubtful. Turbo S is rumored to use a mild hybrid and last time I "checked", there were development issues.

I love the indent in the hood. Makes it easy to spot as well. I hope we have not seen the rear yet. Really sucks that we keep the same motor. Makes me prefer a 991 with a tune for a whole lot less until I can get a GT3 or they come out with a killer .2 motor which I expect they will.

Well the Carrera motor was just introduced, no? I’m actually considering doing a Leawood.... nab a current Turbo (the real one) and get myself into some serious torque...

Yes, generally speaking you get a new chassis with a new generation (992.1), but new engines come with facelift (992.2). 992 will keep 991.2 engines, aside from small power bump.
And same basic chassis platforms last for 2 generations (14 years), with modifications coming every 7. For example, 964 and 993 share a platform, 996 and 997 share one, as do 991 and 992 (unless VW Group platform sharing has disrupted the plan)
