I believe it's the 3rd brake light. They just have it covered for camo, you could see it in the leaked pic of the finished car.

Hm, I think the bar of the rear lights does look rather good, the black plastic at the bottom is a bit too much though. Smiley

Overall I think the standard 992 Carrera looks clean and fresh from the rear, whereas the rear of the new Turbo is not so much to my liking, as IMO the typical Turbo spoiler ruins the clean look of the new car more than in earlier generations. Smiley

Perhaps someone on Rennteam who has close links to Weissach (e.g. Whoopsy?) might be able to enlighten us as to the unusual external positioning of the exhuast on this Porsche Motorsport test mule... Smiley

...have they moved the exhaust outside the car to make room for the Porsche Motorsport Hybrid Boost? (i.e. PMHB)

It is a test mule, the exhaust system can be positioned where it is for many different reasons...

I doubt that anyone in Weissach would provide specifics on a prototype...

I think this is an early prototype and they just needed an simple solution to conduct the exhaust gases outside the engine without creating issues of any kind, especially if they've chosen to install a turbo charged engine (they need to play around with different exhaust pressures and stuff like that).

i don’t know what you all think but this looks pretty clearly to me to be a mid engine prototype and therefore perhaps an early 960 mule, finally!!! i hope they use a flat 8. please.
