E60 AMG is coming?

It looks like MB will up the power on the E55 as soon as next year and have a wagon version...

As long as the smallest SL-AMG has 500hp the E-Class AMG won't have more, I'm sure about that.
But if the Merc SL55 would also get more power more power for the E55 would be possible...

As long as the smallest SL-AMG has 500hp the E-Class AMG won't have more, I'm sure about that.

This story is wandering around for quite a while now.

Or to be precise: for more than 8 months.

Maybe there is some truth in it but a E60 with 500 HP wouldn't be much different, performance-wise, than the current E55. The german HP figure is 476 HP and it is no secret that the E55 engine actually produces minimum 500 HP.

The new M5 is now rumored to get more than 500 HP, personally I expect even up to 530 HP.

I heard rumors the M5 (and M6) will get a high-revving naturally aspirated 5.5-liter 550HP V10 with the optional secuential SMG-II (besides the regular 6-speed torque converter auto) and will not gain any weight with the model change compared to the current M5, I guess we'll know next year

... funny how sport-sedans are leaving the real sportcars in the dust in terms of horsepower
