    Ferrari F430 successor !!!

    Remember the year 1999:
    the new Ferrari 360 Modena appeared. The back of this car had a lot of common with the Ferrari 550 maranello, which was presented three years before (1996).

    Now we have 2006:
    the new Ferrari 599 GTB will be presented soon.
    And what will happen in 2009?
    There we will see a new ferrari, the successor of the F430.
    It will be called "465 GTB" (GTB because Ferrari will produce a spider version too).
    It has a V8 engine with 550 HP and will be for sure the best small ferrari the company has ever produced.
    The sketch shows how the car will look like. It has some design elements in common with the 599 GTB.
    You can also see its hardest rival, the new Lamborghini gallardo. This car will have a V10 engine with 570 HP.

    Now decide for yourself: which car do you prefer?

    Very nice! IMO the next generation 430 will probably look radically different, more so that what you've illustrated. Just my guess

    Extreamly cool art. IMHO I think the 430 succesor will have a wider venturi, or if not a spoiler. just my 2 cents

    Love them both, the single tailight works better with this design (the V8) than the V12 bc it gives that wide hipped look....anyhow, I would actually take ur lamborghini:) now submit them while its early enough to take ur advice!

    Excellent work as usual ! However, this design seems a bit retro - looks a lot like a 1984 288 GTO in stance ,silhouette and proportions . IMO, the design of the F430 succesor should move the Ferrari V8 paradigm forward. OTOH, Ferrari with it's rich heritage , like some others , seems stuck on overtly mining the " retro " trend lately- hopefully the 599 GTB is the end of that . Everyone wants to vacuum the $$$ out of the wallets and purses of wealthy greying love- to- spend gigantic number of 42-60 y/o baby boomers, from cars to other luxuries - a can't miss plan for the next 20- 30 years .

    That is one sweet looking design, how about the front? Just curious...

    Not a big fan of the Lambo but then again I've always thought there was something wrong with the current Gallardo as well. Lamborghini should do a new Miura or something.

    I see a lot of the " modern/retro " Ferrari in it with elements of " voluptuous" Dino 246 /Daytona/Boxer/308-328-288GTO look , all of which were designed by Pininfarina's Leonardo Fioravanti , whose style "vibe "was picked up again by the late 1990's 360/430 , rejecting the aberrant straked/creased fairly unloved look of the 1980's Testarossa/348 as done by Pininfarina's Diego Ottina.

    BTW, Leonardo designed all the recent Lexus "LF- " prefix concept cars and set their new design direction , which to the public stands for " L-finesse ", but to insiders at Toyota pay him credit by using his initials on all those show cars .Of course Toyota designers then bloated them out in their typical fashion for the production versions that have so far hit the road.

    Ironically, Ken Okuyama's designs ( the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti and 599 GTB ) look almost Toyota Supra like from certain angles .

    In fairness to Ken Okuyama, Pinninfarina/Ferrari were not exactly faithful to his sketches.

    And it wasn't him who design the 599GTB, it was Frank Stephenson. He's also responsible for the F430.

    Ironic is when the F550 came out, the "critics" were saying that it look like the Toyota Supra. And now some of those same "critics" are saying the F550 is a classic after seeing the 599. Too funny...

    Oops - I was thinking about the 612 and the Maserati Park Avenue Ultra ( I mean , Quattroporte ) . His Enzo has not exactly been universally admired , either. Ferrari apologized for releasing those concept drawings of the 612 - everyone raved , esp the second one down on the left . Then they released the puffycar and the disappointment .
    Frank didn't exactly set the Ferrari world on fire, and got " promoted " to head FIAT passenger and commercial vehicles .
