    Cold feet

    Record snow and low temp here....my drivers-side floor vent seems a little wimpy compared to the rest of the car's vents. I am trying to trouble-shoot it. Does anyone know what this white thing is? It is right above the accelerator pedal....Thanks? AK

    Now I remember it the support for the under dash panel, it gives rear support, screws at the front.

    Thats where I mounted my FM modulator switch

    Here is a diagram of the Heating/Climate Control system and the tempreature sensors. I doubt this will help much though, other than seeing where the floor vent register is. I am guessing you've discovered that already. Why not take it to the dealer and complain? You're a doctor for God's sake! You don't have time to troubleshoot this stuff!

    BTW, this image is from the Porsche Service Information Technik for the 2004 Cayenne. It can be ordered from your dealer, part # PNA 488 910, for about $63. It is an excellent overview of the Cayenne designed for the Porsche technician.

    Thanks Guys, your right...glad I didn't rip it out with my pliers I am trying to avoid the dealer as I keep having to walk by a nice C4S that is keeps calling my name..... AK
