noone1:To be fair, it wasn't about the noise cowbells make, it was about the fact that it's harmful to cows and makes them deaf for no purpose.
For you noone. Bells and deaf cows. PM me if you want them in high res

Would you believe it that the animals love it? They sometimes refuse to go out onto the pasture without their bells.
Not saying that is a reason to do it, but it's not as black and white as an outstander may think.

nberry:Europeans have been the leaders regarding animal welfare. I don't understand why they need the heavy bells on these poor animals.
I'm quite surprised to hear you think that Nick, Europe is far from being a leader regarding animal rights, the US is further ahead IMO, not so much as laws but especially as a society and mentality in general, the US citizen on average is more aware of how animals should be treated and more empathetic of them that in EU IMO. Also Europe is not homogeneous at all regarding animal rights. Southern Europe for example is further behind that northern Europe in general, though I believe lots of progress is being done now.
BTW, those Swiss cows with bells live great lives and are very good taken care off compared to cows in other places, they have some of the most advanced laws regarding humane treatment of farm animals there

There is no way that the US is ahead on animal rights for northern Europe. Look at farming and slaughter houses in America. Illegal duck shooting and rodeo torture (similar to the barbaric spanish bull runs) and the list goes on and on... If I were any animal I would not want to be in America that's for sure. Those swiss cows are in heaven compared. Nice pictures

I think we are unique here on RT

There may also be an R8 forum out there unable to sustain a R8 discussion on any of its threads.

Well there is of course the point of view in the wild they would be doing just that without our help, in fact I would say that most mammalian species are tournament species instead of pair-bonding, that is why the male is bigger than the female in tournament species, and we don't go around splitting fights up between bucks or lions out in the wild. But yes I agree, these are domesticated animals not wild animals so we have some responsibility there, these are artificial species that mankind created by genetically manipulating them through years of selective breeding that do not exist in the wild. Can't see how anyone can enjoy seeing animals fight. To me I think the worst is dog fighting

KMM:Horrible! Defacing these beautiful animals with that white paint,,,
Seriously, this is sad. I heard the argument about tradition etc, but this is worse than cockfighting imho.
I agree...how could bluelines be that cruel?

Look how fast the new GTS is around Ring! Seems like it's as faster or faster than 991.1 GT3 RS (7:20), if using equal tires (Corsas are not nearly as fast as N1 Cup2 that comes on RS)...

7:22! That is an amazing time for a 2+2 seater!
I like this GTS more and more
Actually, 7:26 with P Zero N1 and 7:22 with new Corsas.

Makes me think 991.2 GT3 with PDK-S will have to be in the teens with whatever stickier tires they have in store (hopefully similar new sticky compound of Cup2 as AMG GT R that lapped in 7:10.x). Kreso, you know which tires yet?

Further developed Cup for sure. Heard rumors about second generation of Dunlop Sport Maxx as well.
