I think that it's worth mentioning that the typical American lateral g-force measurement is taken from testing on a 200 ft skidpad, not on the track. Certainly the CGT will be able to obtain even higher lateral g-forces on a track, where turn radius isn't as small and speeds are higher.

When I asked Roland Kussmaul about the maximum lateral g figure (max lat) for the Carrera GT at the Geneva introduction, he told me it was bewteen 1.2 and 1.3 g.
It looks like he was telling the straight scoop.
This is a phenomenal number for a street car on street tires. Roland replied that it was possible because of the extremely low center of gravity (PCCC, special transmission, and all).

These are very special "street tires".
Racing slicks with track-specific warm-weather compounds are ordinarily required to exceed 1.2 g. My IROC car can do about 1.2 g on slicks on a warm summer day at Mid-Ohio in a turn with some slight super-elevation.
1.2 g would never be possible with broad temperature range tires that have rain treads on an ordinary car.
