    Turbo availability in 06/07?

    Hello Everyone,
    Newbie here.
Does anyone know if "regular" Turbo would still be available alongside Turbo-S when it is introduced? I'm not too thrilled about the facelift look. I rather prefer looks of the current Turbo but can't get into one for at least another 3-4 months and Turbo-S is just too much for me. When would be the latest to order a '06 or '07 Turbo before it fades into Porsche history?
    TIA.

    Re: Turbo availability in 06/07?

Who said the Regular Turbo will not be available anymore? Considering there is a huge difference in price...

    $40 base
    $65 S
    $100 Turbo
    $130 Turbo S

There is no way they would simply delete the turbo and replace it with the TS. Makes no sense at all! Wont happen.

The upcoming Turbo S is rumored to have the same look (no facelift!) like the current one.
The Turbo (non S!) will still be available of course, even the powerkit option should be still available but looking at the price tag, there won't be much difference between a Turbo with powerkit or a Turbo S.
As soon as the facelift will be on the market (expected for MY 2007, starting summer 2007...maybe slightly earlier but not likely), the "old" look won't be available anymore. The new facelifted Cayenne looks very nice, you didn't see it yet, so why would you say you don't like it??? The pictures available on the internet and in car magazines are pictures of camouflaged cars or photoshop jobs based on such pictures.

Did you mean to say MY2008, since in summer 2007 the 2008's will be coming? MY 2007 would start to appear in the 3rd quarter of 2006.

Thank you RC. Yes, I came to my conclusion from the photos made available on the net. I am awared those are early spy photos of camouflaged test vehicles...but I'm quite attracted by the looks of the current Cayenne Turbo (especially the front end). I not sure if the new facelift will retain that traditional Porsche look (I called it the "Frog Look"). In anycase, it's good news to me since I'll have more time to decide if the facelift look will win me over when more close-to-production photos come to light.
