Do you mean the 6 small squares on the "mustache" in the front grile opening? 
LED lights? laser rangfinding cruise control? Anti moose and anti deer acoustic system?
Are they for the opposite of cruise control? Sensors that detect distance to the next car, calculate its speed, and then the 997TT automatically accellerates at full thrust to close the gap? Is that the famous and secret "Komet" option ???

This is why I added a questionmark to the thread title. I wasn't sure. We just got them today, as you can see without "Pistonheads" watermarks.

The front looks like a smiling Hammerhead shark. Menacing yet inviting... 
It welcomes it's owner, but gobbles up the rearview mirror of the driver in front who refuses to give up the left lane!
The use of the three LEDs in lieu of the "old" turn signal housing is a step forward, I'd say...futuristic.
