    Rear center console in leather - add on later?

    I'm talking about option XMZ which is the rear center console in leather. Does anyone know if this can be added later?

    i think yes, but it will cost more after delivery

    I have one on order..should be here shortly
    cost was 1,700..more than if porsche didn't cancel it on me.

    This is the Standard storage bin cover w/rear ctr console in leather:

    Just looked at a 997 with this slick new interior option for 2006:

    CPT - Storage bin cover w/Porsche crest
    yes -- yet another way to pi$$ away $290,
    but at least the lid is upgraded to include the quality leather w/ stitching on both edges (see pic). A very elegant touch IMHO with standard center console or if I was getting rear center console in leather, I would also check off CPT , they would integrate perfectly...Waaaaayy too easy to get carried away with the interior bits

    Ehh..., I guess it's okayyyyy... . Too much excess visual stuff with all that stitching. That "western saddle" look isn't on the top of my list either. Sorry.

    I think the covered storage bin looks great. I have already ordered in the center console in leather and my order is locked. Can I add the storage bin cover from the dealer? Also, can you get it plain w/o the Porsche embossed logo? Thanks a lot! I think the stitching looks great. The plastic center console just doesn't look rich on this caliber of sports car.

    AFAIK, you can order and get any part that Porsche gets. Use this handy formula to estimate cost: establish the amount you'd pay but would be p*ssed about having to pay, then multiply that amount by three.

    i have to admit it looks very good ,but thats another 2000usd to throw... i cant imagine how much money they make with those options...

    I checked with Sunset and it seems nearly impossible to order. You must find someone who has ordered the part previously on their original car. Get that VIN# and then place an order using that VIN#. They can't tell me what it costs but will only know once the part arrives since it is an Exclusive item and not in their system or order guide. Did anyone with a sand beige interior order this part with the Carrera S logo? If so could you PM me your VIN.
