    Headroom with sunroof?

    Does the sunroof reduce headroom at all?

    If it is open I believe it increases headroom... or was that not the question?

    i've always had my seats at lowest position. find headroom to be ample (unless you're >6'6" tall).

    Yes, having a sunroof decreases headroom. The ceiling is lower, so that there can be an empty space for the storage of the sunroof when it is slid back to open. I think you lose around 1" or so (3cm). The GT3 has more headroom than a 997 with sunroof. You cannot delete a sunroof from the 997 in US - not sure about ROW...

    Significant or not, the sunroof probably raises the CG a little.

    Yes, 60lbs(27kg) lbs right at the highest part of the car, more rattles and chance for leaks and less headroom. I really don't like them...

    I'm 6'4 and there is stacks or room above me in my sunroofed 997.

    I have a REALLY long torso and short legs (only 5'11"), so headroom is always an issue for me (especially with a helmet). The 997 has lower seats than 996 though and this helps offset the headroom loss due to sunroof...

    Headroom is no problem with sunroof - tons of room for anyone under 7 feet. In countries where open-top motoring is restricted to a few months a year, the sunroof is a must have IMO.

    I thought "sunroof delete" was for more helmet room (on the track) and a bit more stiffness (on the track).

    Otherwise sunroof/no-sunroof has no impact on non-giant order decision making.

    I agree--the 997's have a much lower seating position than the 996's did. My Club Coupe is the first of my 6 Porsches where I haven't left the seat all the way on the floor. So I cannot imagine anyone having headroom issues except for maybe really tall folks wearing a helmet for track events.
