    Question about CGT production

    What is the total no. of CGT will be made and when the last CGT schedule to be made?

    Will it be too late to order one after 06' Summer hoilday?

    think they're only planning to make 1000 units (all left-hand drive). no idea how many they've already made/sold.

    And if memory serves me right, they announced a couple of days ago that the 1000th GT had been produced.

    It's more than 1000 unit since my friend got the 1002 a month ago.

    Yes, I also heard something like this. There will be 1,200 units and end production in 2006 so I just want to confirm if this is the latest info.

    Yup, final production #s will be 1,250. For the US, production ended in 2005...for the rest of the world, 2006. You should still have a chance to order.

    The original plan was to make 2500 units which has changed to 1250 and most likely there will be not be an 06.

    I thought the original plan was for 1,500 units, not 2,500..

    It is a pity they they didn't sell so well and had to change production numbers, Gt was a great car. I've only seen one driving out the frond of the Ferrari museum driving to Fiorano for testing. Especially the sound of exhaust, like an F1 car. Amazing car.

    i thought the cgt's dont come right hand drive. can you drive a lhd vehicle in HK?

    Correct, CGTs only come in LHD. Test license. Officially (not grey market), there are 7 CGTs in HK I believe.

    Ben was so enarmoured with the V1, he and I were out in his CGT and after driving for almost two miles recognized he had failed to bring it and promptly returned home to get it despite my protestations. He refused to drive without it. He said it is that good.

    It's the same with me. I feel absolutely naked without my V1.

    Continuing RC's comment from another thread, perhaps a road-legal 997-GT1 will be the "replacement" car for the CGT?

    I know they made road-legal 993-GT1's, anyone know how many?

    And as I have read, the 1996 993-GT1 "Strasseversion" was good for 600HP/650Nm, 0-100kph in 3.5, quarter mile in about 11 flat.

    As far I know from know from Porsche AG, they've already closed the order for CGT. Ending last week Jan 06.

    Basically, most of the dealers around the world completed the total 1250 pcs.

    production will end 04/2006 and GT line will then be adapted for the Panamera, got that info in the week before so when anyone wants to see the GT line better hurry
