    how come i cant see any 997t running around in dubai. i see abt 1 camflouged car a month here. yet no 997tt. maybe its not meant for hot weather?

    i would like to see a parked 997t with the keys inside or the manual inside.

    They do their main part of winter testing there like every other manufacturer.
    In the very north of sweden, Kiruna or Haparanda.
    Gothenburg was probably a small detour on their way home to Germany for Christmas.

    Intentional, as others have already pointed out. My guess is if Porsche didn't want pictures taken, we would've heard by now how upset they are because some people on this board have "friends" inside the company. Also, a few pictures of one un-camo'd car could lead you to believe that it was a real scoop and un-authorized. But now we've seen silver, black, and yellow 997TT's. Finally, there's no reason why the 997TT's could not have been kept camo'd until the Geneva auto show. So there's a reason why the camo has finally been removed, but I don't know why.

    Doh! I should've looked at the top of this thread. This picture was taken on a public street. So yeah, Porsche has intentionally "let the cat out of the bag".

    We were talking about the other pictures shown in earlier threads and all over the internet. This is an old strategy...letting the cat out of the bag and crying for help. These cars only had the camouflage left because of the pictures. The camo should give the viewer the feeling that they pictures have been taken "accidentally". Look, surprise, surprise, the new Turbo.

    But anyway: this means that latest after the christmas vacation, the cat will be "officially" let out of the bag.

    I don't think 'product placement' has extended quite that far yet. There is often a big "bounty" for the first clean spy picture of a new product. A new model within a range does not carry the same buzz! Only BMW would leak 'official' spy pictures, right? Not Porsche...
