    997 Aerokit BEFORE and AFTER pics

    Arctic Silver on Stone Grey. Options: Adaptive Sport Seats, Smooth Leather Steering wheel, 5mm spacers, Sport Chrono, Sport Exhaust. Aerokit purchased on ebay for US $4000

    I like the Porsche aerokits. Had them on my 996 C4, 996 Turbo and this 997C4S. When I upgrade to 997TT, I will get the aerokit as well. I take no offense at ALL to those who do not like it. Everyone has their own tastes.

    The hips on pic#5 are GORGEOUS. Yikes.

    Nothing tops that Turbo with the snow falling though . . .

    Great looking car, I really like the color. I love the front end of the aerokit, but the wing i'm not so fond of. I got all the way until the last picture before i saw the license plate and realized- "hey, I know that dealership".

    Great looking car , the front looks so much better with the kit ( nice before and after shot ) ...... the rear to me looked better without the wing but again I do like the front . Also I think the car would look even better if you lowered it and got the front plate off . Thanks for the pictures it is good to see the before and after pictures of the same car like you did . One thing for sure the body kit looks better with the C4 wider rear than the standard C2 body I would hope that the GT3 has the wide body .

    I'm sure all those vents help to reduce lift and increase downforce. Quoting "Avantgarde's" post:

    Aerokit Cup Aerodynamic Values:
    front end lift force 0.00
    rear end lift force -0.02
    Notes:Note the real downforce on the rear axle. Former Aerokits only reduced the upforces.
    Negative values represent downforce.

    Stock Carrera Values:
    front end lift force 0.05
    rear end lift force 0.02

    My personal experience with the before and after aerokit at highway speeds. WITH the aerokit, the 997 feels more secure and planted to the road without a doubt.

    am sure the front lip alone accomplishes this purpose (can't imagine these vents doing anything to reduce lift).

    In Germany they call the GT3-Wing (MK2) "Frittentheke" maybe in English "French Fries bar"...

    Kit looks good especially on the wide rear butt. I think your on to something here. Perhaps the width of that extra 2"/44mm makes the kit look like its smaller and more in sync with the car.

    I'd take it if I did alot of highway driving and we could routinely go 130mph or more in the USA IF it made the car safer. If the USA had autobahn speeds there'd be alot more wings on all types of hot cars and they wouldn't look so "ridiculous."

    It's the "drive 55" mindset in the USA that makes them look funny.
