    Cayman S on Italian Mag - 0-100 km/h 4,92 s !!!!!!!

    Incredibile!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    This Month italian Magazine Automobilismo has tested the Cayman S.
    Here some data:

    0-100 4,92
    0-1000m 23,72

    on dyno 307,6cv
    torque 36,8kgm

    A little translation done by myself,excuse my poor english:
    "the first impression is to be on a more powerful Boxster S, ready to the throttle above 5000rpm but also very close to 997 Carrera 4S Cabrio tested last month. On our test Cayman S did 4,92 on 0-100km/h instead 4,75 and on 1000m 23,72 (23,39). The comparison now is with 997 because the Boxster is overtaken on data but has a common feature about handling and feeling of driving on twisty roads. In the past review of Boxster S we underlined the excellent handling, but the cayman improve the high limits of Boxster. Amazing the capabilty to enter in the corners helped by the steering feel. About the steering feel, for us is one of the best ever had on our test. Very linked to the street also over bumps. With PASM on Sport mode there is the tendecy to go out for the front. This is the only negative response. Also when you lift up the throttle the car close the corner without asking the sensibily of the driver. The perfect balance helps this set-up and call the PSM only when you are exceeding too much the limit or in the hairpin on wet surface. We lack the LSD on this car, we would like to have this option as on 997 because this is a real sport car. The standard brakes are superb and we don't need these because the braking spaces are short enough"

    If you want the most precise,accurate and real performance numbers,wait till quattroruote tests it...

    sertag, quattroruote is not the best mag in italy about sports cars.........it's ok per small cars....

    Amazing.....faster and sharper than a Boxster, but not quite as fast as a 911 (but closer to it than a Boxster)....just more confirmation of what I already believe and was expecting. What's not to love.

    Goog figures for the Cayman come out and it's inaccurate, bad figures come out and it's not "real", marketing bs or no to be trusted.

    Probably the Cayman has the sharpest handling of any mid engine sports car. It is not slow either!

    It looks like Porsche is understating again. I don't think that's the last of the sub-five second runs to 100 km/h that we'll see.
