    does new RMS resolve leak problem??

    part number 997 101 212 00 (which i understand is adapted fm Cayenne). anyone with this new RMS continue to experience any problems?

    Last month a forum mate from www.pasionporsche.com (spanish porsche forum) has been to Zuffenhausen. He went there to buy a 996 Carrera Tip , and besides he visited the Porsche Museum. During the visit, he was told that almost a 40% of the 996 Carrera engines suffers RMS leaks. It's an important percentage.

    I just had the new RMS seal installed about 500km ago. No problems yet but i'll keep an eye on it and report back to this group around reliability.

    I think it's much higher than that, maybe 40% are identified by the customer or dealer on a cursory exam. 90% would be my bet, and m97's too.
