.....but I would gladly pay $5K more for a fixed roof and the engine alone. Lets just say that's how much I don't want a Boxster and why I haven't bought one in the 9 years its been offered. This is my dream car from Porsche and I have been waiting a long time for it!

It is a brilliant little car, at first I thought it was just going to be a marketing ploy to fill a gap between the boxster and 911, it is half boxster, half 911, I love it. I drives like a boxster, it's got those cute looks which I really like and the handling is brilliant, it was greasy and as soon as it was beginning to slip you elt it through the steering wheel, wonderful feedback
Jason: I get the looks, it is pretty but you mention the boxster s. I don't remember anyone jumping out of one of those and thinking 'hmm, if only I had 15 more HP, it was a bit stiffer and....'
It's not a better drive than a boxster s, which is 5 grand cheaper but I reckon those looks are going to get alot of peoples attention. I like the little cutie looks.
VBH: Next year BMW are launching their M4 Coupe which has more HP

Remember DC, he said "it's not a better drive than the boxster". Meaning, it's no worse ofcourse!
I'm glad he liked the car, after Clarkson slated it somewhat(and then gave it an award in top gear mag??!??). But the filming sucked! The incar shots looked like they were taken from an Xbox game, and the black/white/red effect was just annoying.

What I said in my review "It didn't feel different enough to my own car, and certainly no better".
It certainly isn't worse than my 987 S and the engine response is definitely better at high revs.
