    Prolonged rain and convertible supercars dont mix

    I hate the rain in the UK, especially since I bought a 997S Cab last week! I really do need to look into migrating south for the winter

    It's SO frustrating having a supercar on your driveway and not being able to tear-around beautiful scenic sunny mountain-side roads! With all the rain and traffic jams I haven't even got to play with my sport button yet I'll just have to plan myself a driving holiday down to Monte Carlo next spring I think. Anyone know of any great routes across Europe?

    My baby's specs:

    997C2S - Basalt Black, Black Leather, ParkAssist, Sport Chrono, Stainless steel tailpipes, Tire Pressure Monitor, Cruise control, Adaptive sports seats, Heated seats, Multi-function steering wheel, Navigation module for PCM, Telephone module, BOSE, CDC-4 6 disc CD auto-changer, Wheel Centres, , Centre Console in external colour, Porsche Emboss on the seat head restraints.

    Oh well, here's my first picture anyway (more to come when I find a prolonged sunny spell)...

    You know, the people I have seen walking by my 2 cars (Porsche + Audi S3 above) ALL stare at the S3 and totally ignore the Porsche! Unreal. I think it's probably the 19" Abt wheels on the S3 that do it.

    Thanks Alex ,lovely car mate Yep the 911 is an understated supercar, but a very well respected one too

    It was still in the 70's, with sunshine, last week in central California- but no P- car yet!

    i wish audi would sell the 3-door A3/S3 in the US :(

    the 3 door market in the US is very small
    when i was in germany in 2002, i fell inlove with the A3, too bad audi is only bringing in the 5-door

    Yeh, my S3 is AWESOME! In a straight line at least it's nearly as fast as my 997S. Love that car.

    Oh I have been - had the car for 8 days now and done 800 miles

    So the rain isn't stopping me, just hampering my fun by 10% by not having the top down.

    HOWEVER, after the storms comes the sunshine so did some amazing driving this weekend. The more I drive my new 997 the more it wows me!!

    Triple black.. the way it should be.

    I hear 'ya about the local weather... have been trudging my 987S around through the mud puddles for what seems months now. What topped it off was this Saturday, when it let off for the first time in ages and I ran out for a quick wash and wax in the tentative sunshine. Just when I was about to be done, the rain started again.

    She's made to be driven open, not closed, but look at the bright side: Adhering to the break-in rules is a lot easier that way.
