    Boxster S - Newbie needs help! Thanks!

    hi - i'm pretty new to this forum, only couple posts at most. so, hi! anyway, i have a chance to get a 2000 Boxster S right now. i do not like to keep it stock, and am very very new to the porsche world (came from BMW and MB scene), so could you guys help me out on what's available for Boxster S?

    also, i am just in love with this rear bumper by Gemballa. http://www.gemballa.com/Umr/G86_GTR2003_weiss/G86_gtr2003_weiss.html does anybody know where i can get it? if it is under $5,000 for the rear diffuser i am willing to go for it - it looks like a Carrera GT!!!!! i realize Porsche tuning's expensive, but if you guys could advise me on the best places to get stuff, i'd be thrilled. also, i was looking into the GIAC ECU and EVO Intake, and not sure what exhaust to get (if i get this rear bumper than i will need a custom gemballa exhaust). thanks, and i'd appreciate any help.

    For Boxster and Boxster S questions and recommendations you would probably have a better luck at the following site

    alright - i found out some info. i'm really interested in the "Carrera GT-style rear diffuser" (the kind with exhausts built in to rear bumper, and sticking out). so far, i've found three makes: RUF 3600S-style (not sure if available), Gemballa GTR500 Bi-turbo-style (not sure if available), and lastly the 9ff one (actually available). anybody know anything about 9ff? are they a reputable company, good, bad? also, where can i get a hold of them, and, lastly, are they cheap!? thanks very much. i didn't have too much luck on the Pete's Forum, but i'll keep trying, 986forum, flat-6, and 6speedonline, and rennlist. thanks guys.

    also, does anybody know where to get this CF rear spoiler? http://www.gemballa.com/Umr/G86_GTR_GELB_C/G86_g_gtr_c.html what kinda pricing should i expect for Porsche tuning, coming from the BMW and MB tuning scene? thanks again!

    Best mods you can make is the Evo intake, TTP or FVD headers and TTP ECU. Have already drove a stock Boxster vs Boxster with these mods and the difference in power was obvious, it really makes a difference in accelaration and top speed.

    I concur about Porsche Pete's Boxster Board. It is the board to be on for Boxsters. I met Skyler from that board yesterday at a PCA happy hour meeting. He was a very pleasant man that knows a lot about Boxsters and also had a funny Grand Canyon story.
