bluelines:Ferdie:I can also say that you will never have enough luggage space, even a 3-series station wagon or your S3 with roof box will come to its limits in certain situations. So, from a performance standpoint my personal favorite is the M3 sedan with competition package. Alternatively I am leaning towards a A6/S6/RS6 station wagon, preferably with the sport differential. There was a test in sport auto recently and the review was very positive for that particular model.
Yes, an RS6 is definitely on the top of the family car list I could imagine one of those in the garage in a year or two. The shiny roof box would even fit
...but, as good as the RS6 is, I doubt it is a substitute for a sports car like a 911 or FF. I think I need to make an appointment for a FF test drive
It is not, especially in speed limited countries. The RS6 Performance I had for a week I enjoyed only on the Autobahn. Very nice performer but a 911 Turbo S would definitely be more fun.
If I had all the money in the world, I would get a Cayenne Turbo S as a family car and not the RS6.
However, if I had to choose between a S class Coupe and the RS6 (mind you...as family cars!), I would go for the RS6.
The RS6 has one huge advantage for me: You can add substantial power to the 605 hp engine and you do not loose the warranty if you choose ABT (and now at my dealer also MTM). Driving a 700+ hp family wagon is kind of appealing.
If the FF is an option for you, get it...wonderful family car with a monster engine. I wouldn't probably get a new one (too expensive for me) but slightly used, maybe with two or three years warranty left and from a certified Ferrari dealership.
Take your time and avoid impulse decisions. They costed me a lot of money.

BjoernB:My neighbor has that car in Red - with full Akrapovic - but then he realized again when he drove the GT3 that weight is everything.....- no matter how much HP you throw at a +2 tons car - it remains a +2 tons car......
Only fun on the Autobahn, as I said before. For fun weekends, the 911 Turbo S or even the FF are the better choice.

Well to have fun it has to be sporty. Apart some autobahn where you have no speed limit or some autostradas forgotten by the police here in Italy it may be fun with 700 hp with 2 tons car, but when driving a twisty highway ( the old autostrada from Bologna to Florence) even driving at 140/160 it is great fun and there you feel that 2 tons of car is just not the right way to have fun. But I have never driven an FF so I can't tell you , but from what I hear it should be a fun car driving in every condition. So try an FF first.

I think they're ugly on the exterior and I have no need for such a car, but I can't help but think this is a solid deal on a really nice spec.

I think you could buy that at 145K and not lose very much.
That said, I was just reading a thread on average MPG for these cars and it's some of the worst I've ever seen. People get like 7-10 mpg on average. I could never live with such a car. You'd be at the gas station constantly. Honestly makes me think it's just poorly designed engine given the type of car it is. How can you give a supposed versatile DD such terrible efficiency?

J.Seven:The F1 V12 car is the best engine sound ever, those F1 engines screams made your heart beat one mile away from the circuit, let alone being meters away, nothing compares to it.
I makes todays F1 sound like proper vacuum cleaners . Sadly, I don t think we will ever go back to such amazing sounds .

His reviews have gotten way better suddenly. He's actually going over the practical aspects and such. He used to just do driving videos it was just like "Wow this car is fast." There was nothing to really learn from someone just talking about driving a fast car fast. A LF review would be the same as a 458 review.
With this, I feel he actually shows the car and the everyday aspects of it.

He learned...it is a process in this business. Also, maybe he got tired of showing off his drifting skills because serious buyers aren't really interested in them. They need to know how stable the car is at the limit...not unstable.

Lars997:Dont like the look of this car. I think the FF had better lines. Its like with the 812 - its a step backwards in design
The FF definitely looks better but the GTC4 Lusso (what a stupid name ) certainly has it's appeal as well.

hehe.... yep - stupid name
SciFrog:To each his own. I could never accept the rear of the FF, especially the gap around the recessed rear light on bold bright colors. The Lusso fixed that nicely. The 612 is still by far the most elegant one as it ages very gracefully.
The 456 is at least twice as elegant as the 612.
