RC - thanks for a wonderful job.
Here's what I get from that:
1. The Cayman is harder to handle at the limits than a 911. So is a Carrera GT. This is not a criticism, it is a reality, albeit a very interesting one, since rear engine cars have ahistory of being destroyed because of being "unsafe at any speed". It is a testament to the engineering of the 911.
2. The Cayman S is underpowered. It sounds to me like it could use a 3.8L! But Porsche will always keep it that way.
There's the rub: the Cayman has the potential to be better than a 911, but Porsche (wisely) will not currently allow it becaue the charm and allure of the 911 is so easily exploitable and valuable.
