    4.0L or larger?

Re: McLaren on a winning streak

Will be 3.99999 liters most likely. No one wants to make larger engines anymore due to taxes on engine size in many parts of the world, especially China.

Heard it will be using the current chassis. The all new one will be reserved for the future models

Re: McLaren on a winning streak

New design inside and out. Tub should be similar to the 570S, but perhaps just slightly modified. Can't imagine they need a new tub design. Suspension is anyone's guess. My guess is improved hydraulic system. Unknown if it was have RWS.

Re: McLaren on a winning streak

The carbon goes beyond the tub....

Video of one of the CF bodies 675LT Spiders. I would never pay for it because I don't like CF bodies, but at $540K, it's solid deal on such a car. You won't find a bare CF car anywhere near that price. The LT is almost all CF panels to begin with, I believe, so really you're paying for them to lay it out and match it up perfectly. I'm not sure any other exotic manufacturer would do this and I can't even imagine the premium they would charge.

Re: McLaren on a winning streak

    That's old news.

P14 is the one people should be talking now.

Preview for clients Feb 22-23 in LA, official introduction in Geneva 2017.

Engine enlarged to 4.0L, pumping out 720HP, hence the new name 720S.

New interior, redesign tub a la 570 with the cutout for easy entry.

Double hinged doors a la F1.

Prices is higher than 650S, MSRP should be around 230-240k US. 280k or so loaded.

And yes, I have the invite to go to LA. And no I won't be going. If everything goes according to plan, I will be doing European delivery of my R visiting Ferrari, Lamborghini, Pagani factories in addition to the Porsche factory, again haha.

Then off to Finland for Porsche's ice driving.

I hope they can refine suspension, interaction of steering/tires, this strange feeling of the throttle, seats, nav/sound system Smiley Also, of course, as a result of suspension upgrade and more power the lap times need to improve a lot. Then the car might be an interesting product. But many ifs as per now....

Re: McLaren on a winning streak

I already went to Ferrari & Lambo factories......the visit at Ferrari sucks, but I'm not a customer like you.

Because we dont have booked the visit at Pagani's factory we dont have the permission to visit the factory...but at the reception they has a Zonda R..this was back in 2012

Re: McLaren on a winning streak

You make it sound as if the current car is a dog.. as far as I remember, the 650 was pretty well received, had the best ride quality around, and was extremely fast. The 675 even more so..

Totally wrong what he is saying. After driving more then 6.000 km with the 650s and around 3.000 km with the GT3 RS, I think I can compare this cars well.

The suspension is great - flying carpet. If you think only a stiff suspension is fast in corners then you are wrong.

The steering is nice as the throttle response, never have any complaints heard. Mine seat is perfect, maybe other are bad.

The only bad thing is the sound and navi, but mine GT3RS has similar crap sound and navi system.

They already showed the finished exterior to everyone at the Christmas ball event earlier this month. You just had to buy a ticket to it and show up. It's confirmed that the spy shots were pretty much finished product. Looks the same. They showed them promo videos of it as well, so you could hear it and see the interior I believe.

Re: McLaren on a winning streak

Put some wider and stickier tires and you'll be up there with the GT3 RS probably. I'm guessing this car is on Corsas, since that and Pzero are the only standard options.

Mclaren wins another race.................for most expensive street car replacement parts. MP4-12C

$3000 for a new battery is not enough, how about  $35,000 DOLLARS for a steering rack.Smiley..

Re: McLaren on a winning streak

Don't believe everything you hear on the internet......  checked the cost of steering rack, its a lot less than 35K as this guy quoted, perhaps his entire front and back suspension with steering rack would cost less than 35K..... don't know what's this guy talking about.  McLaren is actually sending this guy an request of his statement........ don't think its going to go well with this guy.....   McLaren offers extension Warrenty anyways.....

On the note of P14, is it really 4.0V8?  as I was advised the engine did not change, perhaps they mean configuration didn't change.....  it would be a good news for change their engine....  but to sell more money.... don't think so....

Re: McLaren on a winning streak

It'll be at most 3.999999 liters.

But yeah, no idea why a steering rack would cost $35K. Never heard anything like that.

I am not saying the 650s is a bad car. I am just saying that I would only consider the 650s as an add on to turbo s or 488 if the above improvements were achieved. The benchmarks are high in this class. The P14 might close the bridge - I am excited about their progress.
