This cracked me up. If you get a cab, put top up when you park for more than a minute. About 10 years ago I had a Saab convertible that I loved (slow as molasses, but I still loved it). Anyways, I always put the top up when parked, one night almost didn't while at a friend's house, but thought better of it and did. When I came out, sprinkler was broken and was flooding all over my car. If the top had been down, the interior would have been a wreck.
At my office, across from a duck pond, I ALWAYS keep my 996TSCab parked with the top up, because the mallards that frequent the pond seem to love oogling over my car,
but unfortunately they act like squads of F16's on bombing missions as they jettison excrement (whose shades of brown and white "clash" with the black top
) all over the top. Thanks to Stradale, I have learnt how to counteract the contamination with the car soft top cleaner, du jour.
