Believe it or not but I cannot afford to get bored with this car. 
This is the family car for the next 36 months, period.
If I didn't have the R8, I would be worried but so far, I think I'm good.

I explained the Panamera Turbo S thing so many times, I initially wanted a Cayenne Turbo S but got carried away wifh the novelty factor of the Panamera and the fact that I was looking for a "Swiss knife" type of car, being family car and sportscar. Now I was looking for a family car only, I still have the R8 (surprise, surprise, almost two years and still loving it).
You are wrong this time, the E63 is an additional car, it doesn't replace a sportscar.

What I love about this color: The car is completely dirty, drove it almost a whole day through rain and you barely can see the dirt when you stay next to the car.

Normally I would agree but this decal is an area that will tend to get stone chips, so I would leave it, and if it gets chewed up after 18 months or so, remove then.

It didn't make sense for us. We didn't really need a SUV anymore (especially after I learned that the air suspension of the E63 S AMG allows the car to set higher when needed, not as high as a SUV but high enough to get through a decent amount of snow). Also, I loved the interior of the E63 S, the GLC interior looks outdated. Last but not least, I read in various Mercedes AMG car forums about so many complaints of GLC63 S owners regarding the sound of the car and after my first longer test-drive last week, I can confirm it. The car sounds nice at idle but when driving it, it isn't as loud as the E63 S. The V8 sound is deeper though but this is only nice at idle because when you accelerate hard, you can barely hear it. Not sure what happened here. 
I already put over 1500 km on my E63 S, so I was able to accelerate a little bit more and the sound is epic. Very loud (incl. the outside) but it needs higher revs for that. Under 3000-4000 rpm, there isn't much sound (at these rev figures, my R8 would have already awaken half the neighborhood ). Very good sound for a V8 Biturbo though but to be honest here, my 991.2 Carrera GTS Cab sounds louder. OK, the E63 is still in the break-in period and the exhaust gets louder after 10000 km or so (according to my Mercedes mechanic) but I can live with it, it is definitely a good sound car, even if it isn't sensational at lower rev figures. It sounds better at lower rev figures when shifted manually but I will get into details in my (updated) driving report.
