BiTurbo:
How can AMG make a Turbo engine sound like this Unbelievable ! On "drift mode" you can even switch off the front wheel drive, simply amazing, what Mercedes have become nowadays This must be the most amazing and fun sports sedan for sale at the moment... apart from the C 63 AMG

The E 63 2017 is of course an amazing car with excellent numbers. I often thought about to get this AMG on my list
But overall design wise the car is boring both inside an outside. You can't even differentiate it from a C Class

Seriously ? did you look at the cockpit ? - I would not know anything like it except for the new Panamera and outside design is to my eyes the perfect mix of understatement but visually clearly a AMG for those who know.... - I would rather agree on a new 7er old vs new

Indeed.
E Design is boring, Panamera looks so much better we can't even compare, the E looks like a Taxi on steroids but interior looks good. Anyway I believe for pure fun this car must be way much better than Panamera.

Didn't say that the 7er is an innovation design wise. but a good car anyway.
yes, I've looked at the cockpit and drove both the S-AMG an the C-AMG on several times. For me the design was inflationary spreaded over all Mercedes Series. Nothing new when you look at. But for understatement it may work

I love it, and have done so during previous generations. I really wouldn't mind one as a daily. Only car I'd consider instead of this, would be an RS6 (purely because of its looks).

Would you mind to share your opinion on the E AMG vs C AMG drive test you made?

Well mostly I drove S and C-Class baut occasionally E Class (the old one) once.
C-Class is much more sporty, steering more directly and the chassis very much stiffer than E Class. Both are sounding AMG like well, but the sound of the C could be start annoying on longer tours. For long distances the E is the better choice with the additional advantage being roomier for your legs and luggage

Mercedes current design language seems to be inspired from pork and cat fish.
Who at Mercedes said '' Beautiful, lets make this design''
...I think Gordon Wagener at the 1st place and Mr. Zetsche finally?

The new E63 looks actually very nice. If prices go down like on previous models, we are going to see cars with a MSRP of 150k or so for under 100k after a year or two, could be real bargains.

My dealer is prepared to sell me a brand new 2015 E63 fully loaded for 84k Euro (was 120k), but I passed
If I was about to pull the trigger on an E63, it will definitely be the one with 4Matic+
After selling the 991 GT3 I briefly thought about a new S63 coupe to replace it. I grew up with a 73 280SE 4.5 as a family car and everything I remember that made that Mercedes special seems completely absent from the new cars. It doesn't help that the Hyundai and Kia "upscale" models imitate the MB making it difficult to know what one is looking at.

I really like the new E63, especially when looking back to the previous generations, Mercedes made a huge step in terms of performance (also around corners). Of course one can discuss whether it makes sense to hava a 600+ hp "executive" saloon but why not...

It makes a lot of sense and it´s a great option for those looking for a powerful everyday sports car with lots of space and a engine sound to die for. These huge V8 engines RWD provide a lot of fun and I may be look in the future for this car when depreciation hits it.
