I heard something about 2017 but I don't know if it is going to be part of the facelift or not. Facelift is not due before 2018 as far as I heard.

Seems unrealistic that they will launch a hybrid on current Macan? Based on the old Q5-platform there are not so many possibilities and launch a hybrid with old tech will just get bad press. When they launch hybrid in Macan they will need to trickle down the similar E-performance solution as in the Panamera 4 e-hybrid that we also will see in the new Cayenne later this year.
@RC - any more info about the facelift? Do you know if the Facelift will include updates to the interior á la new Panamera or if the FL will keep the current Macan layout with just subtle improvments? If they don't update the interior with new tech the Macan FL will be dated from launch and will become quite an old model until new model introduction 2021 (or there about).

I agree. They need to launch a brand new Macan one to two years after the launch of the next Cayenne that incorporates the new tech of the next Cayenne and new Panamera. Anything different will look dated, besides for a model that plays a critical role sales-wise and in a very competitive segment.
spudgun:Thanks, my OP states the hybrid won't happen but I doubt that...
It is not written in stone yet, apparently Macan customers aren't crazy about a hybrid. Yet.
As to the interior, I don't have much but since the Cayenne is getting the new Panamera interior, I highly doubt that the Macan will get the same (or something similar).
The Cayenne needs a big push, especially after the Macan introduction.
Right now there are interesting 18 months leases available for the Cayenne S Diesel and the GTS. Interesting though: No more production slots available for Turbo and Turbo S models, at least over here in Germany.

Agree with the above. The Macan is a bit late to the game and I feel like it'll soldier on with the same overall design until the next generation launches in 2020/1, even if it looks old in the overall lineup.
Hey, it has to be the cheapest Porsche for a reason...
