Well, she's still in break in, almost to the 500 mile mark. I have made just a couple of forrays into 6,000 RPM territory.

This car just pulls and pulls. It feels limitless. The X51 is very turbine like. You can really hear all the air flowing through the engine. The exhaust is amazingly rich and throaty, from the deep burble low down on up to the thick howl at higher RPMs.

Honestly, it's the first time in my life that I have thought a car might be too fast. I'm almost a wee bit scared of the beast. It is capable of attaining such high speeds in so short a time that one must really treat her with respect.

I can't even begin to fathom what a monster the upcoming turbo will be given how incredible this X51 is, and the Blue Zoomer isn't even broken in yet. She'll just keep getting stronger for the next several thousand miles.

I have never been happier with a car. My now departed 996 seems like a chid's plaything compared to this animal. I'm so pleased with every facet of this vehicle. I wish I was driving her now.

I just had a nice drive with my two year old boy. And one thing that really stands out is how much low end torque the X51 has. It really pulls from very low in the RPM range. Shifting in the low 3,000s still makes for very fun driving. The car is almost too easy to drive fast.

I'm hoping to drive the next non-X51 C2S that comes into my local dealership. If I do get that chance I'll be sure to post a comparison.

My club coupe is on the boat that docks/docked in GA--should be at my dealer end of next week

thank you aerosmith, you make the wait a little sweeter. in january the c4s x51 cabrio will be with me and i can't wait. personally i believe the x51 will eventually become some sort of a =must have= option on the used market, and our babies will hold their value very well. not to say one does not lose money selling it, but they will be very desirable, immediate sales. and that is just as cash to me.

I've seen posts by some of the members, wondering when X51's would be rolling off for delivery, sometimes being told that the build dates are being pushed back. fyi, I stopped by my local dealer in Seattle today and saw that they just received a slate gray 997S with X51, sitting out on their lot waiting to be prepped.

I'm waiting for Porsche to start offering the X51 again. Right now the computer won't take the order. It sounds like it may be a couple of months before they become available.
Does anyone have different information?
