    Porsche 997S

Hello all: In case, any of you is thinking about buying a 997S, I would like to highly recommend it. I have had a 928GTS, 911C2 Turbo Cab, 911 Targa, 996C4S and just bought an 06 997s and it is by far the best P car I have ever had. My C4S was an 05, the last of the 996 the dealer sold and it had only 2400 miles when I sold it this past weekend . I loved it, just a gr8 car but the looks of the 996 although not better or worse than the 997S (just different) is getting old while still beautiful. 997S is noticeably faster and handles and brakes better while the C4S has it's own exciting qualities. All porsche cars are nice but stick with the wide bodies for better looks I bought an 06 330I with the S package to drive on daily basis and that is also an awsome car. This is my 1st BMW and I have to admit it's a gr8 car. Bottom line the beauty is in the eys of beholder, enjoy what you think looks good or goes fast and pay no attention to anyone. Trust me there is always someone who is faster and looks better. What matters is the Soul of teh driver being compatible with the soul of the car. Peace everyone, drive safely

Congratz edz61! Please be sure to post some pics of your new cars.

I see we both hail from the same area; perhaps someday we'll see each other cruising on the 73 tollroad

    PICSSSS

    Re: Porsche 997S

Thanks MHakkinen, I love my 997S, despite the fact that I only bought it last week and drove it for 60 miles and then left town and I am still out of town. I guarantee you will love this car. The only thing I miss on my CS4 which I don't have in the 997S is the leather dash. But I can tell you this the dash although it's not leather is by far better than the 03 Targa I had 3 years ago. I am on the 73 Freeway alot, maybe we will be flashing lights at each other here and there

    Great comment. Exactly my opinion!
Though a few drivers maybe should AVOID to comply with the soul of their car...

And the 997 Carrera S gets even better: after passing around 6000-8000 mls, your engine will feel stronger and breathe more freely, resulting in an even more enjoyable fun car.

I can only agree, even now, my 997Scab has 13.500km, it feels faster and faster, and revving higher more easily then at 10.000km...
It really is a dream to drive along twisty countryroads...
