I loved Tiff's light "attack" on Top Gear's test track:

Loved that part too. For the most part it's true...that airfield has some long straights and you really need some good hp to get a good lap time. That's why some of the heavier cars have turned such good lap times, relatively.

After watching 5th gear again last night,there is a definate series of audible "beeps" as VBH is driving the 997s on the track.Now this is the same sound as i get when i turn PSM off/on by pushing the button on the dash.However as Vicky is driving around the track she has both hands on the steering wheel and so why is the PSM beeping?Does the beep occur when the PSM cuts in on its own accord?,like when the car is sliding so much .I know it takes quite a lot of sideways action for the PSM to cut in but normally you only get an orange flashing light on the dash ,but beeping sound too maybe on a Porsche ?Anyone heard this beeping when going sideways,as i havent but must admit i tend to switch PSM off when i want to slide for fun

I noticed the same - beeping noise is not as a result of VBH doing anything with the car as far as I can see (apart from maybe bringing in PSM through powerslides). Wondering if the beeping could be the stopwatch on the Sport Chrono? Haven't got mine yet so can't say for sure - has anyone used their stopwatch yet?

Hi Robbo, better and better sounds good. I'm feeling very very excited about my car as its only about a month to go...
I'm already planning trips (want a short as possible break in). Is north Wales and anglesey a good place to go? Or do you recommend any other good routes?

That's the warning "beep" you get when either switching PSM on /off or PASM normal / sport. Unlikely to switch PASM on a circuit so likely to be the former, I'm sure that VBH being responsible and British had her seat belt securely fastened.

Guys ,this car didnt have PASM ,it was the -20mm sports suspension.The only button it could be is the PSM button but if you watch closely she didnt take her hands off the wheel so she wasnt pushing any buttons 
.This same topic by the way is being discussed on the Porsche club GreatBritain website .I was wondering if PSM makes this beep when it cuts in but have yet to experience it on my 997s.the only other thing it could be is the speed limit warning beep you can set up in the sports chrono but why would they do that ?I dunno its a mystery

Very interesting.
I particularly liked the concept of a striped cat called Spot. 
Maybe I should have referred to a seat-belt warning "Bing", instead of "Gong".
But then you would probably have asked me if mine sings "White Christmas".
