Actually the regular 997S with PASM seems to use something called the "Active Brake Differential". What is the difference between the Active Brake Differential and LSD? Thanks in advance.

The ABD is an "electronic" substitute that uses the brakes to stop the wheel from spinning free due to the open differential and stealing all the troque from the other wheel that has the grip. The LSD on the other hand is a true "mechanical" differenctial.
The ABD is not as effective as a the LSD, its less sport and more "intrusive". The ABD is tied to the PSM system, but when you turn off the PSM the ABD remains always activated, it never turns off.
So the LSD is better, and more fit for sportcars. But the ABD is better than just having an open differential.

Don't worry about it too much, the 997 can hold its own without a LSD already. Its just one aspect of the whole car, and its not really evident unless you take the car to the limit such as very agressive street driving or track.
Yes, you cannot fit an LSD in the PASM fitted car. They are not compatible.
