All the seats go up and down - I don't know if the electrics go further up than the manual seats, but I reckon they both go up far enough for you. The secondary problem that you'd have to try out is whether you can get enough distance from the steering wheel when the seat is adjusted so you are comfortable with the pedals. I guess you'll be OK at 5'3", but you need to go check it out yourself really. It's dangerous to be too close to the wheel when the airbag goes off - I think you're usually recommended to be at least 10" away, but don't quote me on that.

Another consideration is age, since I'm 40-something I try to get stuff that's as physically comfortable as possible without looking obvious; bike seats, stadium seat cushion, knee pads, whatever... .
I got the adaptive SS because I want to be able to make little adjustments to keep the comfort level "civilized."

FWIW, The "rule" all the Porsche sales guys and track experts have is this.
You sit close enough so when you extend your arms over the wheel your wrists fold over the wheel.
I dunno how/if that "conflicts" with air bage proximity.

I know that nobody but me will drive my car. There will seldom be a need to adjust the seat position. Also, we often talk about conserving weight on our p-cars. Omitting the electric seats saves weight because it doesn't have motors under each seat. It is, however worth spending the $ to get the sport seats.

I believe the electric motor makes the seat about an inch higher- it did in the 996(likely the same in the 997). I know the 997 seats do sit lower than the last model- so being tall, I'm not concerned about the added height of the electric seats anymore.

Lol Oxo, you're just realizing that? haha Yes, plenty of things that you would think should be standard on a car that's pushing $100K.. you have to pay extra for! It's crazy, but Porsche has us right where they want us, don't they.. those shrewd devils, they know we can't get enough
