lemme ask you this.
Your toaster is broken. It's brand new and you're upset that it's messed up.
Do you:
a. scrounge around for the sales slip and registration card and plan a trip to the sevrice center?
b. throw the thing out and buy a new one
c. plan on throwing it out if you can't fix it on your workbench yourself.
d. realize that toasters are now electronically controlled and are almost impossible to fix w/o specialized skills and equipment, so you take it apart anyway just to make sure you can't fix it yourself before you toss it
If you answered c or d you are more than capable of doing the install yourself. Proceed slowly and carefully and ask us here for advice if problems.
Answered a or B? Are you sure you ACTUALLY NEED a sport shifter?
If so take it Porsche service.
OTOH (very impt) I'm very capable amateur mechanic but I'd choose take it to Porsche to have them do it to not threaten the warrenty.
"threaten the warrenty" means they can blame you if something goes wrong with the tranny. Even though you did a PERFECT install job.
