About suspension

Is the standard suspension of Cayman S is coilover or just a non-adjustable sport suspension?

Hi Chris!

The standard suspension has non adjustable monotube shocks with coils springs mounted over them.

True coil over performance suspensions allow a great amount of adjustment and cost substantially more.

The optional PASM suspension has oil filled shocks with magnetic particles in them that are dynamically charged to increase or decrease stiffness.

Thanks a lot! I think I wont get the PASM, instead may be a PSS9 coilover.

Get the Sport Chrono also, you get a few hundred extra revs when it is set on sport.

but only in Cayman, this feature is not available on Boxster and 997, isn't it??????

There is Sport Chrono and Sport Chrono Plus, I think only Sport Chrono Plus requires the PCM.

Yes, two different options....but same price. Sport Chrono interfaces with PCM if its installed, so I guess thats why there are two different options.
