beltar:We went alone, the cars in the garage are just people staying in our hotel.
Yeah...always nice cars in that garage but so many at a time? Wow.
You clearly enjoyed your stay, this is one of our favorite spots there.
Very good hotel, nice suites and prices are OK as well.

Crayphile, I suspect this car is yours? It will be an interesting marker if it sells at or close to the advertised price. My OPC have tried to tempt me to sell mine a few times but I can't part with it.

Most definitely not mine . Its way too much fun to part with as you know from your own experience ! Light, nimble and far better sounding than a GT4. The whole package is just a joy - always puts a big smile on my face when I drive it.
That's a punchy price they have it up for, I doubt it will go for that.

Gauss:this surely means, that the 981.2 GT4 will also be NA.
So to get this right, they will be 981.2's, and not 718.2 ?
There will be a 981.2 GT4 but I didn't hear any specifics about the engine yet. Even the 911 3.0 bi-turbo was discussed, not even sure this engine fits the car.

It interests me too.
You do realized Eduardo has been blacklisted by Porsche for a long time already.
His so called PTS thread that is what got him in "jail". No one with real information will tell him anything.
He had wanted that thread to be his calling card on the internet and be a internet hero, he managed that but in the process alienated himself with the factory. There is actually a direct order against talking to him on real information.

DaveGordon:The most exciting part for me is that it could be some kind of de-specced GT3 motor. If they were to keep it a high-revving but smaller capacity motor it could be magnificent. Bring that on!
Changing the displacement is expensive - just de-tuning is much cheaper...

I've heard there will be two GT4 variants....however, no details on the engines

981.2 seems to be very unlikely, because the actual Boxster/Cayman have already 982 factory code.
The latest spy pics show a GT4 in 981 shape, but I believe that is only to confuse the people.
If GT4 and Spyder come, the will come in 718 style. I am also pretty shure that GT4 and Spyder will come with almost the same engine. I see only one scenario with different engines, if they decide to skip the normal GT4 and bring only a GT4 RS (and a Spyder). Then it could be possible to see the GT4 RS with 4.0 NA and the Spyder with a flat 4 or flat 6 turbo. But for me unlikely. No spy pic ever show a real GT4 RS as far I remember. The GT4 RS pics always were photoshop. That does not mean GT4 RS will never come, but if it comes it will come after the normal GT4.

I was aware that he'd got himself into some trouble, but not any specifics. I'm not really interested in internet celebrity but thought this particular snippet of info sounded verifiable.

I asked Dr. Oliver Blume, CEO of PAG, a question at a public Q & A

that might interest some of you here.It was in front of a multitude of enthusiasts & Porsche notables attending
the Parade that included Dr. Wolfgang Porsche & former PCNA CEO Detlev
von Platen. And there was no fudging on the straight & frank response I received
from Herr Blume:
My Question: 'Will the upcoming 718 Boxster Spyder be Turbocharged or Naturaly Aspirated?'
His Answer: 'Naturarily Aspirated'!
That is good news!
So given the nature of the public setting, I'd have thought he'd have been called out if this didn't happen. Hopefully it did, and is accurate. But then we are talking about (and in) internet forums. Caveat emptor.

Poor guy

We're looking forward to take our spyder to Italy next week! It's such a great car and don't understand what all the buzz about GT4 is about . Spyder is just FAR MORE fun, sound, open air experience (drove last summervacation + 4000km with open top in Italy and Corse). It gives more fun to drive than GT4 , except for trackpurposes.
Great great car!!!
I wanted to sell it and buy a 991.1 GTS, but first to italy...

Would you think a 991.1 GTS is more fun than a Spyder? I wouldn't make that change to be honest...

. Don't do it - makes no sense unless you need more space and can only keep one car. Hang on, still makes no sense!

The number of times you mentioned the GT4 in that post makes me think you want... a GT4 Even driving to the local supermarket to buy milk feels like a track event in the GT4. It is so sharp, so hardcore, so manly. It is FAR MORE exciting and involving, and makes the driver feel like Steve McQueen. Instantly.
I still don't know why the girliemen driving Spyders feel the need to compare them to the GT4, the Boxster GTS would be more suitable IMHO.
Good luck with the 991.1 GTS. I am on the look for one myself. Then we can both post how much more fun the GTS is than the GT3

I already chose the fastest colour on the spyder!
And sure GTS wouldn't make the same fun than the spyder, but the misses likes an automatic roof and i like the 3.8 NA-engine... so less fun, but one happy miss...and tht's also fun :-)
