    My pleasure!

I had made an arrangment with my local Lambo dealer so that I can take pic inside the booth.

Re: Return from Frankfurt Motor Show

Wow..thanks for taking the time to post all the pics.

Re: Return from Frankfurt Motor Show

    Thanks Chris!

Why didn't you tell us that you were going there? Half of Rennteam would have been able to meet up there...

It looks quite interesting to me to compare the Gallardo's clear enginecover with the one on the F430. The later's looks much better - especially the engine itself looks like a vital part of it. In the Gallardo it looks as if this feature was offered with a side-view on long-time rival Ferrari. The engine looks more like in a shopping window - apart from that great car - especially in the revised edition!

Yes, I think we should meet up next time.

I agree that glass engine cover looks better in F430, may be the main reason is the RED engine. However, I think the White SE looks stunning too.

Re: Return from Frankfurt Motor Show

Chris, many thanks for the great photos.

Hear any interesting chatter @Frankfurt? Esp re:
F-600 Imola's hp and release date? 430CS release date?
    P-DSG launch timing?
M-Any S600 w/AMG body kit shown? Are there not V12 badges on sides of new S600? Any talk of a Merc Exclusive program (I ask as there's a new '06 SL65 on ebay w/yellow stitching on blk leather)?

    Thx again.

Re: Return from Frankfurt Motor Show

Chris, great pics. I'd like to know your opinion on the styling of these cars : AMV8, Jaguar XK and Z4 coupe.

    Especially the AMV8..thanks before!

    You are welcome!

BTW, there is not much news in the Motor Show. The cars and info. from there was as expected.

It is interesting that I didn't see the V12 on S600, may be I missed it. AMG for S-Class was not shown in the Motor Show yet.

I think AMV8 looks really nice, especially the rear. The feeling from it is a bit different from Vanquish and DB9. It is smaller and less feeling of a GT. More a sports car like.

The XK is a bit disappointing, the 1st impression of it is a bit like Hyundai Coupe.

The Z4 Coupe rear looks quite muscular and fine, but I am not a big fan of Z4, I think the bonnet is too long and don't like the head light. But this Silver color is quite special, just like sanded.

Re: Return from Frankfurt Motor Show

    Thanks Chris!
The XK grows in me, but the AMV8 is achingly beautiful from day one!

All right, see you in two years then...
In fact I might rather hit the ground of HK once more until then!

The silver paint on the Z4 is similiar to MB's aluminium paint - which is a bit more towards a bronze tone - that is supposed to be on the designo programme in short time.

Re: Return from Frankfurt Motor Show

Thanks a lot Chris Lo! Great shots!

Re: Return from Frankfurt Motor Show

Thanks Chris...great pics The Lambo Family is beautiful, esp the SE.

Re: Return from Frankfurt Motor Show

I am going to the Tokyo Motor Show in Oct. I hope there will be some new cars and take some pics then post here again.

Glad to see you guys like the pics.

Re: Return from Frankfurt Motor Show

I'm lukewarm on this take-a-peek at the engine concept F and L are into. JMO. Not that I'm critiquing the cars' performances. Not at all. Both cars haul A.

Re: Return from Frankfurt Motor Show

    Well,

Ferrari used some wire gauze in the engine lid's opening on their prior cars, it was a more or less logical step to put a heat-resistent glass panel in this place. The engine and its "presentation" makes the panel look like an integral part in there.

On the Lambo it looks like some CEO member liked the idea on the 360 and forced Lambo employees to adapt it to their own car - i just doesn't look right and costs a ridiculous amount of money in my eyes...

    Yes,

From the side-by-side F and L pics above, the 430's setup looks better (as does the rest of the car ), IMO.

Re: Return from Frankfurt Motor Show

Fantastic pics Chris, many many thnx!!

Agree 100%. And the picture you posted comparing the 430's rear glass to the Gallardo is from the 430 spider. The 430 coupe's rear glass is not only much larger then the Spiders but also has a nicer shape then the Spiders. In the Coupe you can really have a great look at the whole engine bay - it's much larger.

Chris - Great photos. Must have had a press pass eh ?

    Spiders glass

Re: Return from Frankfurt Motor Show

    Coupe

Re: Return from Frankfurt Motor Show

STRADALE, I didn't have the press pass. I just show them the F430 Sales Contract and they let me in.

For Lambo, when I arrived the booth,I made a call to my local dealer and they contact the people at the booth, then they let me in.
