The Valkyrie should be a boat anchor not the buoyant balloon for Aston-Martin as I have written here before. It was not the type of project AM needed at the time but one can’t find fault with it’s financial impact. This demonstrates the dire state of the company which is sad considering the new DB12 and Vantage look great.
Aston Martin used to stand for something special, it's James Bond's car. Even when they weren't selling well, it's still, James bond's car, 007.
Now it stands for daddy's boy car, personified by Lance Stroll. "Look, my daddy is rich, he bought me a F1 team so I can be a F1 driver!" So when someone shows up in an Aston, first thought would be cool you got a rich daddy. Even to 60 yr olds, like cool you old money and still spending the family's fortune.
