Just turned 38 last month...... More interesting than age though, how many here have kids?? It's a lucky man (like me) that can enjoy the family life, and still garner the wife's smiling approval on a new Carrera S purchase. I've got a 3.5 year old and a 2-monther, both sweetie-pie girls..

Porsche love since grade school. Almost bought a 356 in college (stored in barn for 15years)= no money. S-Coupe order went in on 8/25= 56th BD.
Always told my boys when they wondered why we did not have this car ,or that (read Porsche),,, their college tuitions were my Porsches,,for now. (Notre Dame=one nice Porsche,for instance).

Bought my first Pcar ('87 911 cab) at 40... that was 10 years and ago. Also had a '97 993 cab in there.
When I turned 50 the deal (between myself and.....
) was I really should get a new Pcar.
My wife
, bless her, completely understands the logic, as do my kids, daughter, 15 who loves getting dropped off and picked up at HS in a shiny Porsche and son, 18 who shares my love of cars and is off at college.
That's why there's now a 997S Cab in the garage!

Just turned 56,, thanks for being one of the old guys. My original estimate was a tad too high on the demographic profile,,,at least on this type of forum. May be a bit younger group than the average P owner. Also, seems like exclusive male domain. And, heavy concentration on West/East coasts +Europe. Not too many in Central US. Does a 1969 robin egg blue Karmann Ghia convertible qualify as a beginner Porsche. My first real car out of college. Loved that car,although, it seemed to rust before my very eyes.
