    Car at service center yet again for same faults

    My 04 Cayenne turbo was taken in again for the same problems. Vibration at 120-140 Km/h plus strong vibration while braking. dealer called me today saying my tires needed to be replaced because of run outs on all 4 (keep in mind i changed all four at 15000 kms) and now the car has only 25000 kms on them. Michelin dealer said it was abnormal, porsche said because its such a heavy car it is normal to replace tires at only 10,000 kms this is just weird! anyways i also found out there are three recalls on my car, one for headlight condensation (its the second such recall in a year) two for the tailgate operation button. the third is ECU reprograming, wonder if it will help in the hesitation issue and turbo lag. anyways i will keep you guys posted.

    wow fireo, sounds like you haven't had very good luck with your cayenne, maybe it was a monday build car

    i hope i never encounter those problems with my CT *touch wood* keep us posted about the vibration, i'm curious

    My C.S is just back from its first service (@18k miles!?)

    In addition, I have had the rear tailgate 'micro switch' replaced for the THIRD time! Apparently this is a "new" fix and wont happen again. It always happens in the rain, so its moisture getting into somewhere (no problem for Mike S in sunny SA!?).

    The hesitation can be cured very temporarily by the dealer resetting something, but this time i insisted on them taking a closer look. They have actually replaced a gearbox sensor or something, and the car is much better, with no hesitation. I will keep you updated on whether it reverts.

    fiero lives in kuwait! it's not exactly a tropical rain forest there either when it comes to sunny weather

    Thanks guys for your support. i got the car back and they performed the following three recalls. replaced the micro switch on the back tailgate, did a second fix for the front headlights for condensation (although i never had that problem) plus they updated the ECU with some fix, he didnt elaborate on details. now for the bummer, they told me i had to change all four tires since they were worn out from the inside indicating there was an alignment problem, its only been 10,000 Kms since i changed them the last time . My brake vibration has been solved by guess what? another skimming of the discs, i bet on the next 5000 Kms they will tell me i have to replace them again!. Vibration at 130 Kmh is still there!! my bmw dealer called me today saying he got 2 M5's on the lot and if i was interested, im starting to give it a serious think now. Wonder if the M5 will turn into another nightmare! LOL

    don't worry bro, the world is rounded, once in a while we get bad luck, I am pretty sure the problem will be solved and you will be happy just like other lucky owners...

    Fireo, sorry to hear about your perpetual car problems! Which other cars gave you headaches then? As for the M5's - I've heard that they can whip almost anything on the road - including the SL55!

    well im going to go to the bmw dealer this week since after getting my car back i still have the vibration issue and now my AC is acting up. im sick of these problems. he got two cars available a silverstone silver and a bronze, im gonna try to work something out. he was stiff on my cayenne turbos value he pushed it way down, i want to pay about 24000 USD max above my cars value for it.

    does buyback work over there? thats totally unacceptable! there is someone here who owns a Cayenne Turbo, the hatch glass kept popping out, at the end he left the car in the dealer's parking lot and asked for a buyback, lol

    Dude,
    Im so addicted to my cayenne turbo, i dont think i would ever think of replacing it. UNLESS they get a silver grey M5 with the heads up display LOOOOOL. the dealer recieved like 4 M6s he sold 3 in one day! i was so shocked! the M5s he got the silverstone silver and the bronze are still sitting on the lot waiting for a buyer!
