    F didn't allow pics at the event (invite-only for friends of F)....wheels on FXXX were clearly different from the polished wheels previously seen in pics shown in various car mags....

    Hmm, I don't think so.
    The black painted rims have always been a feature of some thoroughbred race-car-like sports cars. The FXX is a good example, very, very extremely tuned 911 turbos another. I think we will mainly see those black painted rims at such cars.
    But I recognise another trend concerning rims: it's the popularity of polished rims, perhaps not as shiny as the chrome ones in the US (which I don't like), but still far more sleek than normal alu's. Ferrari for example calls them ball polished rims, you can get them for each model, including the 612 Scag, where they are part of the new GTC package.

    Well, I don't like them either and will stay with the "ordinary" alu rims, but to each his own.

    Rossi, good points. I'm not a fan of the chromed/polished rims (but they are certainly more popular in LA). Blk painted wheels could be appropriate on a more-focused car like a 430CS ....I think a lot of the guys already moving from 430Coupe to Spider are trying to come up w/fresh ideas for new color/stitching/carbon fiber/wheel schemes, as they've already used up a few ideas on their 360Coupe to Spider to CS transitions....

    I saw a Rosso Scud Stradale with dark grey painted wheels and it looked really good.

    These black CS wheels on a black car doesn't look good imo.

    Def like blk 430s! Strad, do you know if those blk painted wheels are factory or after-mkt-painted? I'd bet some red/yell CCM calipers would offset the blk wheels better.

    And where are those clear-side mkrs on that 430?

    STRADALE talked to that dealer in Florida a few weeks ago they wanted 350K and said they were sticking to that price ... seems like a big markup .

    There's a sucker born everyday.....
    I don't follow the secondary mkt very closely, but I recall a major SF reseller was asking $300K for 430Spiders w/F1 and CCM and deliv mis in std color combos.....if I recall correctly, this SF reseller sourced ?6-8+ 430s from LA region F dealers....guess the LA waitlists aren't as deep/real as purported....

    Don't know. It's for sale on DuPonts site so I guess you could find out for sure. Says the car has 315 miles so I'd guess it was factory. The guy is selling/sold and flipped the car now selling for approx. $60,000 over- doubt he would spend the money in the after-market to paint the wheels. But ya never know.

    The pic of the dash is a better representation of how red stitching looks on black leather. It's more subtle then how most pics depict it. Would love to look at any more if you have them. What color is the headliner ?

    I don't have any other interior shots but will take some when i next see owner. The headlining was red too- i was surprised how well the
    whole red package worked. It's a lot less bright in person than pics appear to show.
