That motor is mislabeled . It should read 3.2 V"W" or PORSCHE by Volkswagen on the intake covers .
This one is a mostly shared VW chassis, susp\with diff tuning, shared " invisible " parts like pumps , servos, electrical things, oily parts, and now even the engine . This is almost worse than the Audi/VW platform " twins " like A4/Jetta, A6 /Passat, A8/Phaeton. Soon, they'll have to "blow them out this weekend only " like Chevy Suburbans with their permanent $$$ discounts.
VAG might as well buy Porsche now and put it out of it's financial reaching misery , and let Porsche do really cool SPORTS CAR things only like Ferrari under FIAT 's umbrella.
Imagine Ferrari having holiday weekend dealer "Sellabrations ".

This has happened before without Porsche being bought by VW and I think they still did pretty well afterward. Remember the 914? Great car, even badged VW/Porsche in countries other than the US. The car handled wonderfully and heavily modified ones are still at the top ranks of club racing circuits, although the GT3 CUP and RS owners are beating them now I think. Still not too shabby for a thirty year old bastard child of VW and Porsche.
