Impressive. I fondly recall when the AMG Hammer preceded the Porsche variant too. Car and Driver had a coupé version of the Hammer and I used to see it often around the U of M campus in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Little did I know that years later one of my business associates was the then head of CBS media and oversaw Car and Driver and Road & Track. That car caused him much angst as it was a major hit to the budget.
Congrats Frank, great project. My brother and I have been talking about tackling a restomod project sometime in the next few years, we're thinking about finding an BMW E30 and updating the mechanics and going to an M3 look. Without M3 badging of course.
nberry:How long did the project take and at what cost?
About 3 months and around 12k EUR for the work listed here. Another 6k CHF was spent on extended maintenance in Switzerland.

CGX car nut:That’s a tremendous deal as I expected, with all the work, a much higher price tag. I envision more and more projects along these lines as more EVs enter production. This is an antidote to those quickly but still appliance-like devices.
This is my observation as well. Plus, driving a car that was restored to its original beauty can be a very rewarding feeling and experience.
If I don't fly, I drive my .:RS :)
