    OT: Some pics I took of this weekend away

    Hey guys, just thought I'd share the more beautiful side of south africa with you. went away this weekend to Cape town and up the western coast. was an awesome site to see all those flowers in bloom in the wild

    next next week, frankfurt here i come!!!





















    @BC997J: I spotted this black gallardo outside the Victoria & Alfred waterfront parking lot the first night I landed there, had a few bodyguards watching it.

    Lovely photographs. Is that first picture of a cloud-enshrouded view of Table Mountain? I remember from my grammar school geography studies a flat-topped mountain coming out of the Atlantic from CapeTown to about 3,000 feet/1,000 meters or so. It's hard to tell with the canopy of cumulus. As I recall, it has cablecar access. I take it there is no route accesible via your 997S?

    Mike that Gallardo you referring to belongs to a Nigerian oil tycoon. He had a 360 Spyder before.

    His bodyguards usually follow him in a black Range Rover.

    yes that is table mountain, so it the 4th picture but on a sunny day! you can get up to around half way with a car, no way to go higher unfortunately

    yes, there was a black range rover parked behind the gallardo, must be the same guy lol small world, i kind of figured someone on here would know who it was thanks stig

    Pretty sad if you have to travel like that. Although I felt safe in SA, but I was driving a white 4x4 Nissan

    Cape Town, Beatiful Cape Town. This is what i wake up to every day hehe. From what I can see, you drove around to Blouwberg, etc, stayed a while at the Waterfront and drove around in town a bit?? Nice
    Hope you went for some cocktails/sundowners at one of the Cafe's at Camps Bay.

    Did you come down with a car?? If so, which one.

    BTW i've never seen/heard about the guy with the Lambo before. I really dont understand why he'e driving around with bodyguards though, unless he's really important or whatever. Imagine, you're out with your Lambo but you cant go over 1500rpm cause you have to let some guys in a Rangie keep up.

    BTW Mike. I was out a couple of days ago when some guy drove past in a F430(red). I didnt really have a chance to see who it was but i think it was the dude who owns the Exotic car places over here.(Bloomsbury etc.)(Dont wanna mention his name for obvious reasons) There was a black Masa 4200GT in front of him. IMO that car does not look that special at all. The front looks ok but the rear is just too fussy, i'll have a Gallardo over it any day.

    Yes we drove past Blouberg(that road is SO STRAIGHT! 300kph+ runs there for sure ). Unfortunately I was just there for a weekend, so I didn't drive down. Plus I would have my cars shipped down, too many stone chips if I had to drive it down myself. Ah the F430 One of my friends designed that guy's showrooms According to "Stig" the owner of the Gallardo is some oil guy from Nigeria.

    Sounds like you have a soft spot for the F430...

    BTW i think they moved Bloomsbury to a bigger, better position, not far from where it was before. The new place is quite BIG, so it seems business is going well. I never had a chance to speak to Mr.A.L so I'll just have to asume that what i saw is true.
