I went with a CS4 over the Targa. Got it on Friday. What are the general breakin rules 03 CS4? Am I supposed to stay under 4,000 RPM's for about 1,ooo miles? Or do I need to "open it up"? If not broken in properly, what could happen! Thanks!
The most important aspect of the breakin period is to vary the rpms as much as possible. Porsche engines are bench tested at max rpm for 30 mins. Some feel it is important to keep things under a certain rpm to help break in the tranny etc. I think you could go max rpm as long as it isn't kept there for extended periods during the first 1000- miles.

I heard it was only 1 min at redline on the factory tour i took... where are you getting this info? 30 min at redline seems like it would be beating up the engine for no good reason.
